Things have been a little slow around here lately due to quite a few new friends at my house that I have been playing with way too much.....

Too Busy To Blog

Thank you for everyone that has followed my blog since my launch earlier this year. I have been pleasantly surprised with the amount of positive feedback I have received!
I have had a fantastic response between my two shops and finally finished my first wholesale order.

Here are a few snap shots from the last month while I have been sewing the wholesale order.

As soon as I finished the order I got straight back to the machine and made a couple of new items for my shop...aren't they lovely....um no they are gorjuss!

I have been fabric shopping too so keep an eye out for many new things to come!

Handmade Owls

I am delighted to now offer handmade night owls by Rabbitsmoon. They where just too cute to resist and I am sure that you will all love them! You can adopt one here. They are all one of a kind and stand about 18cm tall. They have flown in all the way from Brooklyn, USA to become someones special friend.

Grand Opening!

I am happy and excited to announce the shop is now officially open!

The shop features my summer 09/10 range, I hope you like browsing.

Gorjuss Origins

We are so excited here at Gorjuss! We are busily preparing our first range for summer 09/10 and we be releasing it over the next few weeks..watch this space!

We thought that before we do that it might be nice to share where we got our name from!

I wanted it to be short, simple and girly. It took me months and I went through many different names but they always seemed to wear off after a short period.

Gorjuss finally came after a chat with my youngest daughter, her hairdresser at the time drove a bright pink/purple car that was the worst thing she had ever seen, however she loved that the number plate was gor jess - due the the fact that her name was Jess.

I instantly loved it and searched for the domain name etc but Gorjess it had been snapped up by a make up artist .........also named Jess!

Anyway with a little tweaking......

waaaa-laaa..............

Gorjuss was born and I love love love it. Now when I look at my logo I don't think it would look as good with an 'e'.

So I want to shout out a big Thank You to Jess the hairdresser with the ugly car that inspired a beautiful name that I think sums up my clothing nicely!
